The inaugural “The Amazing Penang Hill Treasure Hunt” was held at Penang Hill on 19 October 2019. Organized by Kiwanis Club of Penang Central in Penang Hill. Organised by Kiwanis Club of Penang Central and supported by Penang Hill Corporation (PHC), this inaugural event aimed at raising funds for Kiwanis Mental Health Series, Kiwanis Educates Children for the Future, Kiwanis Young Entrepreneur Program and Penang Hill Rest Stop P84.
Penang State Exco for Youth and Sports YB Soon Lip Chee was the guest of honor. Also present were President of the Kiwanis Club of Penang Central Dato’ Seri Wong Siew Hai, Organizing Chairman Dato’ Dennis Chuah, and PHC General Manager Dato’ Cheok Lay Leng.
Penang Hill Corporation General Manager Dato’ Cheok Lay Leng was invited to be one of the panel speakers at the “Seventh Asia-Pacific Urban Forum ” (APUF-7) on 17 October 2019.
Dato’ Cheok shared the roles of Penang Hill in promoting urban health through good governance and good urban design during the session themed "Urban Health through Good Governances and Good Urban Design", moderated by Mr. Mustapha Kamal Zulkarnain, Fellow Member of PAM.
Other panelists were President of PAM Ms.Lillian Tay Wai Fun, Public Health Physician of University of Malaya Dr. Sanjay Rampal and Ms. Khoo Salma from Penang Heritage Trust.
APUF-7 took place in Penang from 15 to 17 October 2019 at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre. The forum aimed at mobilizing partners from across the region to focus on accelerating implementation to achieve a sustainable future for cities throughout Asia and the Pacific.
Also present were Housing and Local Government Minister YB Zuraida Binti Kamaruddin and Penang State Exco for Environment, Welfare and Caring Society YB Phee Boon Poh.
About 1000 volunteers from all walks of life participated in the “Trash Free Hill 2019” event on 29 September 2019 to collect trashes along the eight different trails leading up to Penang Hill, which hoped to help protecting and preserving the environment of Penang Hill.

The "Pesta Tanglung 2019" held on 14 September 2019 was a truly amazing event with people from all walks of life gathered to celebrate this unique festival amidst the cool breeze at Penang Hill. Jointly organised by Kadun Air Putih and Penang Hill Corporation (PHC), the event was held in conjunction with the mid-autumn festival.
Some 956 participants from all over Malaysia and 12 other countries took part in Penang Hill Heritage Forest Challenge 2019 on 25 August 2019.
The 15.5km race was aimed at raising awareness among the public to conserve and preserve the nature and heritage at Penang Hill.
Organised by Penang Hill Corporation (PHC), the race was in collaboration with Actifestyle Concept, Penang Hill Residents’ Association and Penang Amateur Athletics Association. It was also endorsed by the state government, under auspices of State Exco for Youth & Sports, YB Soon Lip Chee.
Economic Affairs Minister YB Dato' Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and his team were introduced to the jewels of Penang Hill by PHC General Manager Dato' Cheok Lay Leng and had a pleasant time exploring the historical sites and biodiversity at the peak of the Pearl of Orient on 2 August 2019.
Water, Land and Natural Resources Minister YB Dr. Xavier Jayakumar and his team received a warm welcome from Penang Hill Corporation (PHC) General Manager, Dato’ Cheok Lay Leng when they visited the beautiful Penang Hill on 7 July 2019. They had a pleasure time in exploring the beautiful and exotic floras and faunas at the peak of the Pearl of Orient.

We are proud to announce that we received two (2) certifications from Penang Green Council (PGC) and Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang (PBAPP).
PGC awarded the "Penang Green Office Certification" to PHC for adopting green practices and complying with the requirements for the certification.
Meanwhile, PBAPP awarded the "PBA AQUASAVE sustainable water management certification" to PHC as it "has successfully demonstrated high initiative and continuous efforts in water conservation, and the organisation is committed towards cultivating the development and implementation of water sustainability in its premises."
